The Chogoria Centennial Foundation originated from a deep commitment to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Chogoria community. Its roots trace back to the acclaimed preservation and renovation of the old PCEA Chogoria Church, a project that became a symbol of community unity and historical reverence. The restoration initiative was significantly inspired and guided by Architect Paul Mpungu, whose detailed quinquennial report laid the foundational basis for the project. His comprehensive documentation highlighted the church’s historical importance and the urgent need for its restoration to safeguard it for future generations.
